There is still much confusion here and council have been very slow to get the word out.
Below is from the horses mouth – Hepburn Shire Council CEO Evan King confirmed the following:
- LL2 Clause 2.9.3 This means a person must not ride a wheeled toy vehicle or bicycle on the footpath along Vincent Street between Albert Street and Central Springs Road, Daylesford. They can be walked or pushed along the footpath.
- Kids under 13 are allowed to ride bikes on footpath as long as there are no signs saying it is not allowed. (Vic Roads Rule 250)
- Until there are signs along Vincent St, kids can ride bikes on the footpath. (Vic Roads Rule 252)

Bikes and wheeled toy vehicles are permitted on roads provided they comply with road rules. (Vic Roads Rules 240 – 244B)
